You may have a memory strip problem, or a contact problem in the
connector caused by tarnishing or corrosion.
Remove the memory strip you put in, and put in again in that same
connector. If no change, then swap one strip for the other. If no
change, take out the old memory and put in just the new one. Then
see if the computer reads that correctly. If so, then repeat test
with just the old memory strip. It may have gone bad.
